SYJETTES

+ In SYJETTES Mina Lunzer retraces a deeply human practice: to use verbal, gestural, and symbolic, language to construct identity and coherent reality. The re-narration of an accident in the center of Praterstern in Vienna is told from different perspectives. Thus it shows how displacements and transitions can creep into assumed facticity. The layers of voices, gazes, and memories lead to ambiguity and transformations. The reenactment of second-hand witnessing underlines Lunzer's practice, to arrive at documentary by the means of fiction. Where reality ruptures, tales come into effect. What remains are the stories around a central place in Vienna. (T. Ballhausen/Filmarchiv Austria)
